What can only be shown
Who would see this, if we were not told: we must choose self-sufficiency or become dependent–on technology and resources not under our own control. The choice will determine our freedom in the the universe.
Our Allies will not foster dependency
If the Allies were here to protect humanity, they would have to continue to protect humanity, which would require them, in effect, to take control of your world. All governments in your world would then have to be coordinated with the activities of the Allies. This then would lead to your loss of freedom, even loss of freedom to a friend. To make it completely clear who are Allies
Those extraterrestrial visitors who have been potentially beneficial to humanity have all retreated from the world in the face of the Intervention. Those remaining are alien races who are not here for our benefit. This leaves us in an unambiguous situation regarding the intentions and activities of the extraterrestrial presence.
